This article covers how to cancel an app subscription or a magazine auto-renewal on an iPad running iOS 11 or later.
Cancel a Subscription
It’s easy to subscribe to video, music, and magazine services on your iPhone or iPad. Whether you want to save money or aren’t interested in a streaming service, it doesn’t take much to cut an app out of your life.
To cancel a subscription to a magazine or app on your iPad:
Open Settings on your iPad. Tap your Apple ID. Tap iTunes & App Store. Tap Apple ID. Tap View Apple ID, then verify your identity. Either enter your password or use Touch ID. Tap Subscriptions. Tap the subscription you want to cancel. Tap Cancel Subscription. Depending on the subscription structure, you may be able to access the service until it’s up for renewal. The expiration date appears on the Subscriptions page after you cancel.
Resubscribe to an App or Magazine
You can also use these menus to resubscribe to services you’ve ended. Here’s how:
Return to the Subscriptions page. In the Expired section, tap the app or service you want to renew. Tap the renewal option you want. Confirm your purchase with your Apple ID password or Touch ID. The renewed service moves to the Active Subscriptions section.
