Sharing a podcast online is easy, and Anchor is a handy free tool to help you do that. In this article, you’ll learn how to upload your podcast to Anchor—before sharing it on multiple different streaming platforms.
How to Upload Your Podcast Episode to Anchor
If you’ve already recorded and edited your podcast episode, uploading it to Anchor is simple. After signing in to your account, click on the New Episode tab in the top right-hand corner. Then, hit Quick upload.
Choose the file you want to upload as a podcast episode. You can edit the title, description, and other features while waiting for the file upload to complete. Once everything looks good to you, click on the Publish now button.
You can also record directly within Anchor by selecting Create an episode instead. There, you’ll have the option to edit everything—plus much more.
How to Share Your Podcast on Different Platforms
You can share your podcast on Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, and several other platforms.
To do this, select your icon in the top right-hand corner. When the dropdown menu appears, click on Podcast availability.
If you scroll down, you’ll see the various places you can upload your podcast to. And you’ll see a link when you expand the platforms that interest you.
Once you’ve copied the link, you can go to where you want to upload the podcast—such as Google Podcast Manager. The remaining steps differ depending on the platform you chose.
Once you’ve shared your podcast, all of your past and future episodes should sync.
