Here’s how to set up a family account and make yourself the manager to set parental controls for each family member.
Create a PlayStation Network (PSN) account if you don’t already have one. In a web browser, go to the PSN Account Management page and sign in to your account, then select Family Management on the left side. Select Add Family Member (or Set Up Now if you’re just setting up your account). Select Add a Child. Enter the child’s date of birth, then select Next. Enter an email for your child and create a password for their PSN account, then select Next. Follow the prompts to finish setting up the child account. Go back to the Family Management page, select the child account you want to set restrictions for, then select Edit to adjust each feature.
How to Grant Parent/Guardian Permissions
You can also designate other adult family members as parent/guardians, allowing them to change child accounts settings. In the Family Management section of your PSN family account, select the family member you want to make a parent/guardian, then select the Parent/Guardian checkbox.
